A main road in Stockport is to be closed until next week after a large sinkhole opened. Part of the carriageway on Carrington Road in Portwood, close to the Portwood roundabout, collapsed on Tuesday morning (November 18).
An emergency road closure was put in place between the junctions with Charlotte Street and Crescent Road and it remains closed today (Thursday, November 20).
