Nagpur : Under the city police’s ongoing “Operation Shakti,” an initiative launched to dismantle human trafficking networks and curb commercial sexual exploitation, a team from the Crime Branch’s Social Security Department and the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Nagpur Police conducted a raid at a hotel on Wardha Road late Thursday evening, rescuing one woman and arresting a key accused.

According to police, between 5:45 pm on November 20 and 2:00 am on November 21, 2025, the teams were patrolling for suspects when they received reliable information about prostitution being facilitated at The Imperial Green Hotel in Somalwada Chowk, within the jurisdiction of Sonegaon Police Station.
