Whether you’re looking for a fresh spruce, a family wagon ride or a simple stop for a pre-cut tree, several farms across the Blue Water Area are opening for the season. Many offer hot chocolate, gift shops and weekend activities as the holidays get underway.

Here’s a look at local Christmas tree farms and when they open for the 2025 season.

Western’s Tree Farm – Applegate

Where: 3375 Frenchline Road, Applegate

Opening: Nov. 22

Available: U-cut and pre-cut trees, wagon rides, craft shop

Western’s Tree Farm continues a long-running family tradition in Applegate. Visitors can choose from u-cut and pre-cut options, browse a small craft shop and enjoy wagon rides through the property. Special event days will be posted on the farm’s Facebook page throughout the season.
