Tamil Nadu governor R. N. Ravi inaugurated the annual margazhi season music and dance festival of concerts of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on Nov. 20 evening.

Lead artistes who performed that evening – nadaswaram vidwan Seshampatti Sivalingam and violinists A. Kanyakumari and Embar Kannan were honoured.

IIT-Madras director, Dr. V. Kamakoti was a special guest.

Keen rasikas head to the Bhavan’s concerts now because a number of top-ranking artistes are featured and all concerts are free. However, at some concerts rasikas start stepping out less than an hour into the main concert.

The first part of this festival runs for 23 days here. Concerts are open to all.
