The Election Commission said it is organising special camps to help people fill SIR forms which were recently distributed across the state.

Chief Election Commissioner Hareet Shukla said citizens need not panic, and there is time till December 4 to fill the forms. Special camps are being organised on Saturdays and Sundays, where booth-level officials (BLO) will be present at the booth to help people with the form-filling.

Officials said BLOs have a search app on their mobiles through which they can find details of any voter. The EC officials said no one will be left out. Shukla said if a voter’s name was in the 2002 list, then details have to be taken from that to fill out the form.

Voters whose names have not been linked to the 2002 list or do not match the list will be put on hold. A
