3Monessen couple charged after 2-year-old overdoses on cocaine and fentanyl

Monessen, PA – A Monessen couple has been charged after a two-year-old child in their care was hospitalized with a drug overdose involving cocaine and fentanyl, according to Monessen Police and Westmoreland County Detectives.

Authorities were alerted on October 4 after learning that a young child was en route to the hospital and had tested positive for both drugs. The child was transported to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for emergency treatment.
