A motorcyclist has been injured after a series of crashes at Forty Foot Bank near Chatteris on Friday morning (November 21). Cambridgeshire Police described the conditions as "treacherous" and said the road was closed until approximately 10.20am.

A car and a motorbike both fell into the same ditch. Cambridgeshire Police explained: "The first incident was a car which crashed into a ditch at about 7.20am, near to the junction for Benwick, and there were no injuries.

"A motorcycle also crashed into the same ditch and the rider suffered minor injuries. There was also a van which crashed into a ditch at about 8.20am and there were no injuries."

A spokesperson for the force also said they believe another single-vehicle crash took place near the junction with Doddington Road, at about 8.
