KENT CITY, MI – There isn’t much Andre Meade can’t do on a football field.
The 6-foot-4, 235-pound senior athlete for the Kent City football team spends half the game bulldozing opposing defenders through the Earth as a dual-threat quarterback. When his team is on defense, he’s causing chaos in the opposing team’s backfield as a game-wrecking defensive end.
The Grand Valley State University commit has used his variety of skills to power Kent City (12-0) to a historic postseason run that featured the school’s first-ever district and regional championships.
The Eagles will take on Kingsley (10-2) in the Division 6 state semifinals at noon Saturday in Cadillac with a chance to reach Ford Field for the first time in the program’s history.
“He alters the game in so many ways,” said Kent Cit
