Since the end of Ncuti Gatwa's reign as Doctor Who's lead actor, the long-running British sci-fi show has been through a journey of doubt and indecision, but the saga is finally continuing when The War Between the Land and the Sea premieres in the coming weeks. Although it's a relief to Whovians that Doctor Who won't be taking a multi-year break, which had been rumored since Gatwa's exit, there is still reason to be wary of the upcoming UNIT spinoff. Focusing primarily on the new UNIT team that was introduced for the show's 60th anniversary in 2023, The War Between the Land and the Sea is, in many ways, the last project of its kind. As such, there will be fans tuning in knowing that they'll never get what they're looking for when the show ends.
