Ariana Grande has contracted COVID-19 following non-stop press interviews, premieres and late-night television appearances all in promotion for “Wicked: For Good.”
Grande, who stars as Glinda opposite Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba in the film, revealed that she had tested positive for coronavirus shortly after she appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
“Moments before Covid,” she wrote on her Instagram story Thursday, Nov. 20, along with a screen shot from the episode, USA TODAY reported .
Grande joins her co-star in falling ill at the conclusion of the press tour. Erivo was said to be skipping interviews at the New York premiere of “Wicked: For Good” on Nov. 17 after losing her voice.
