FOXBOROUGH – Thomas Brown admits last season was difficult, but notes his time in Chicago made him better. It also gave him a chance to live out his dream. And now, the Patriots tight ends coach is considered one of the hottest coaching candidates in the NFL.

This week, the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero put together his annual list of 24 young head coaching candidates who could receive opportunities next offseason.

Brown was one of the 24 names mentioned. The 39-year-old, who is also the Patriots passing game coordinator, has interviewed with Miami, Houston, Tennessee, and Chicago in the past about head-coaching vacancies.
