Three people died after an early Friday morning crash in Chester County during a police chase, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Around 1:20 a.m., police tried to stop a vehicle after noticing multiple traffic violations in the area of East 3rd Street and Garner Drive in New Garden Township. Police did not say what the traffic violations were.

The driver failed to stop and troopers chased the vehicle, which eventually crashed, killing all three occupants.

Troopers did not say where the crash occurred, making it unclear how long the pursuit lasted.

But remnants of the wrecked vehicle were seen on the 9100 block of Gap Newport Pike near Sheehan Road, about four miles from where PSP said the attempted traffic stop occurred, CBS News reported .
