Bengaluru: Congress in-charge for Karnataka Randeep Singh Surjewala has cautioned party leaders who have been making public statements about a possible change in leadership in the state.

In a post shared on X on Friday, Surjewala said he had spoken to both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister about the matter. According to him, the two leaders agreed that the BJP in Karnataka, along with a few media outlets, was trying to tarnish the image of the Congress government and the state.

Surjewala said this was a deliberate attempt to weaken the government’s achievements and the success of the five guarantee schemes. He expressed disappointment that some Congress leaders and MLAs were giving unnecessary statements that were creating confusion.
