The Illinois Commerce Commission ruled Wednesday that Ameren Illinois must cut a proposed rate hike by 43%.
Ameren Illinois requested $128.8 million in rate hikes, but they’ll only get $73 million. This price increase will come around the end of the year, impacting delivery rates. This is what utilities charge you to cover the coast of delivering gas to your home or business, about a third to half of a gas bill.
