Nasa has shared mesmerising night-time images of Earth captured from the International Space Station (ISS), revealing some of the planet’s most luminous urban centers, and Delhi shines prominently among them.
The series highlights how modern megacities radiate light visible from hundreds of kilometres above, showcasing the scale of human habitation and economic activity.
According to Nasa, cities like Tokyo, Delhi, New York, Singapore, and SoPaulo appear as glittering hubs of light against the planet’s darker landscapes.
The images, taken by astronauts aboard the ISS, combine scientific observation with visual art, offering a unique perspective on urban energy usage and spatial development.
