San Antonio’s smash burger craze is proving it still has legs. ZOJAH Burger , a new fast-casual joint slinging crispy-edged patties, is now open at 9390 Huebner Rd. #109 in Medical Center.

According to an announcement from property manager Dominion Advisory Group, owner Alvin Garlito created the brand by combining the names of his three children, Zoe, Elijah, and Isaiah. The restaurateur wanted to create a neighborhood spot that would serve quality, affordable food to hospital workers, students, and nearby families.

The menu doesn’t set out to break any rules. The main attraction is the burgers, served with certified Angus beef patties, cheese, onion, pickles, and a tangy proprietary sauce. Diners can customize by doubling (or tripling) up the meat or adding some heat from grilled ja
