ANAS Sarwar must explain why energy bills continue to rise despite Labour’s election promise to bring them down, MSPs have said.
The Scottish Labour leader is under pressure after energy regulator Ofgem announced on Friday that bills were set to rise again at the beginning of next year.
Next year, the total cost of gas and electric will be £1758 up from £1755.
But during last year’s General Election campaign, Labour told voters they would bring down energy bills by as much as £300.
