The NYPD is getting closer to identifying the man who allegedly shot Kris Boyd.

A potential suspect in the shooting of the New York Jets star cornerback has reportedly been identified less than a week after pictures of the man emerged online.

Boyd was left in critical condition after being shot in the abdomen in Manhattan. Footage would soon surface of the fight that started it all, where Boyd could be seen reacting to being shot.

Boyd was shot outside the popular Asian-fusion restaurant Sei Less in Manhattan at around 2 am Sunday. The New York Police Department said on Wednesday evening that the Jets cornerback is now in a stable condition.
