OAKLAND COUNTY, MI -- Auburn Hills-based auto supplier Nexteer is facing legal action over a Ford electric-truck program.
Nexteer is facing a lawsuit from a tier-two supplier over a canceled program tied to Ford Motor Co.’s next-generation electric pickup truck, according to reporting from Crain’s Detroit Business .
Swoboda Inc. filed the legal action after Nexteer scrapped the program, according to court documents. The dispute represents another legal challenge emerging from the electric vehicle sector as automakers and their supply chains navigate the transition to electrification.
Nexteer specializes in research and development, design, testing, validation and manufacturing for the automotive industry. The company operates a Global Technical Center just outside Saginaw.
