EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. (KCTV) - The suspected driver in a deadly hit-and-run of a Kansas City woman has been identified by police.

“Through a combination of advanced technology, interagency collaboration, and thorough investigative work, the Excelsior Springs Police Department has successfully identified the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run incident that killed Mary Levingston,” the police department shared Friday morning.

Levingston was killed on Nov. 12, 2025 , in the evening. Police found her on the shoulder of Fredericksburg Road after being called to the scene just before 6 p.m.

The Kansas City, Missouri, woman was found to have suffered blunt force trauma to the head, which police said was consistent with being struck by a vehicle.
