A man was booked into the Madison County Jail Thursday on a charge stemming from a September shooting in Huntsville.

Jail records show 38-year-old Douglas Cole Fletcher is charged with aggravated assault and violation of his parole.

According to Huntsville Police, about 3 a.m. on Sept. 15, a shooting investigation began in the 3200 block of Lodge Road. A victim in this shooting sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the investigation by HPD’s Violent Crimes Unit revealed Fletcher got into a dispute with the victim before shooting them.

Fletcher was located by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and arrested for his warrant.
