Florence Police arrested a mother and daughter for allegedly stealing money from a local business through wire fraud.

On Nov. 18, Florence Police Department officers responded to Los Dos Hermanos on Mall Road after reports of an employee, Kimberlin Dayana Montes Reyes, transferring money from the business to her personal account since late October. The total amount stolen was $38,800.

Claudia Estela Montes Reyes, Kimberlin's mother, allegedly distracted employees to facilitate the transfers. Warrants were issued for their arrests on charges of Theft of Property in the 1st Degree - Wire Fraud.

Officers arrested Kimberlin Reyes at the business and Claudia Reyes on Anna Drive on Nov. 20. Both are held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center with a $30,000 bond each.
