“It’s so nice to (have) home-court advantage,” guard Ioanna Tsaprailis said. “Having our friends and family in the crowd, it makes a world of difference.”
The No. 2-seeded Fighting Irish were to face No. 3 Hamilton Bishop Tonnos in a semifinal Friday afternoon at St. Patrick’s.
Win or lose, they’ll play for a medal Saturday at Lambton College. The bronze game is at noon and gold is at 2 p.m.
The Irish reached the semifinals by winning their first three games with help from the hometown fans.
