Even for state troopers who have seen it all, this might be a first.
New York state police posted a hilarious photo (with commentary) about a recent traffic stop which led to the discovery of hand-drawn license and registration documents affixed to the driver’s windshield. Initially pulled over for having license plates registered to a different car, the driver received multiple tickets after the feeble forgery was discovered, and their vehicle was subsequently “taken off the road”.
“[T]hey appeared to be hand drawn using a mix of pen, marker, and crayon with an impressive amount of confidence,” officials wrote. “As a friendly reminder, arts and crafts supplies do not count as valid documentation.”
