A two-alarm fire broke out Wednesday afternoon at a mobile home located at 701 Queens Highway in Accord, resulting in the deaths of two dogs, one of which was a service animal.
The incident drew support from several mutual-aid fire departments. In the aftermath, the American Red Cross provided emergency assistance to eight displaced residents, including six adults and two teenagers. Aid included temporary shelter, meals, and essential supplies.
