Kansas women’s soccer has secured its third-ever trip to the Sweet 16 after beating Louisville in the NCAA tournament Thursday, Nov. 20.
The No. 3-seed Jayhawks (16-5-3), who won 3-1 in Durham, North Carolina, trailed 1-0 early in the first half. But they bounced back to tie the score 1-1 going into halftime before taking the lead late in the second half and never giving it up.
In dispatching No. 6-seed Louisville, KU has earned itself an opportunity to go up against No. 2-seed Duke on Sunday, Nov. 23, for a spot in the quarterfinals.
