ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A former pastor will serve time in prison for obtaining COVID-19 money through the church’s name.

Court documents state that Terry Hall, 50, pleaded guilty to two counts of wire fraud and three counts of making false statements.

According to the indictment, he applied for economic relief from the Small Business Administration, claiming that he would use the money for his church. In 2020, Hall received two EIDL disbursements that totaled up to $199,900 to his personal bank.

Court documents also say that he created fake documents, contacted elected representatives and intimidated other church members to make sure that he received the loan.
