GRAPEVINE, Texas — Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Dr. Brad Schnautz is resigning to take a new job in education. His resignation comes as the district is experiencing a budget shortfall that could lead to school closures.
The district announced Friday that Schnautz was named the next Education Service Center Region 11 executive director. He'll start his new role Jan. 5.
“Serving in GCISD for the past eight and a half years has been such a privilege. It has been a tremendous honor to serve with our amazing educators and staff. As a parent, I have been most proud to witness my four children thrive as recipients of the truly exceptional education offered here,” Schnautz said in a message to staff.
