Martin Lewis has urged Brits to complete once crucial action amid Ofgem's announcement energy bills are to rise by 0.2 per cent from January 1.

The Money Saving Expert issued guidance following the update that the Price Cap for the three months starting from the beginning of 2026 is increasing to warn Brits with just electricity what they could be hit with next year.

He wrote on X: “The headline is @Ofgem's energy Price Cap for the 3 months starting Jan 1 is to RISE 0.2% but that's only part of the story, electric costs are to rise a real amount while gas falls, and yet again the hated standing charges are rising.”
