If you are traveling to or from Erie ahead of Thanksgiving on Nov. 27, you are in for a mix of sunshine, rain, snow and possible lake-effect snow toward the end of the week. However, weather conditions for travel early in the week appear to be mild.
Here’s an early forecast of what travelers can expect when passing through the Erie area on Thanksgiving week, according to the National Weather Service office in Cleveland, which handles the Erie forecast.
A partly sunny weekend
Starting Saturday, Nov. 22, the National Weather Service is predicting a partly sunny day with a mostly cloudy night with calm winds ranging from 5-8 miles per hour.
The sunshine will pick back up on Nov. 23 with the high temperatures for the day reaching 47 degrees.
