Erie County Council adopted the 2026 budget on Nov. 20, approving a .33-mill property-tax increase that will cost the owner of a home assessed at $100,000 an additional $33 next year.
In a 4–3 vote, council passed a $138.5 million general fund budget for fiscal year 2026 — slightly above County Executive Brenton Davis’s $135.8 million proposal and a small decrease from the $139.4 million general fund budget adopted for 2025.
