Two key pieces of Northgate’s region-championship softball team are headed to the next level, as Kellie Nalin and Journey Jackson signed their college letters this week.
Nalin is bound for Shorter University, while Jackson will play for Middle Georgia State University.
Nalin delivered one of the steadiest seasons in the Lady Vikings’ lineup. The senior hit .402 with a .438 on-base percentage, finishing with 33 hits, 29 RBI, and 20 runs scored.
She also posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, ranking No. 17 nationally and No. 4 in Georgia in that category.
Jackson was a spark at the top of the order, closing her senior season with a .377 average and .490 on-base percentage.
