Kennith Samuel Johnson, known affectionately as Ken or Kenny, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on September 20, 1944, in Douglasville, Georgia, to the late Roscoe Johnson & Effie Goolsby Johnson. Ken spent most of his life in Newnan, where he became a beloved fixture of the community. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Ken served as a paratrooper before dedicating 36 years to the City of Newnan Fire Department, retiring as Captain in 2009. When he wasn’t at the firehouse, Ken could be found delivering gas and oil for Otis Jones Oil Company, crisscrossing Newnan and the surrounding counties with his signature wave and easy smile.
