ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - One person was killed in an officer-involved shooting at Lambert Airport on Friday.
According to St. Louis County Police, the shooting happened around 1 a.m. inside Terminal One.
The police department says officers were conducting routine checks when they encountered a man with a knife.
The suspect refused to drop the weapon and was tased by officers.
Police said he continued to advance towards the officers, and an officer fired, striking the suspect.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other suspects were involved, and no other injuries were reported.
St. Louis County Police are leading the investigation, which is currently active.
