3The Jackson Township Landlord Registry is a public document that tracks and records all registered landlords and rental homes in the township. Today, Mayor Jennifer L. Kuhn and the Jackson Township Council are taking the next step by putting the database online for the public to view easily.

Previously, residents had to request the document under the Open Public Records Act (OPRA).

The idea was suggested by Councilman Elect Chris Pollak, according to Council President Mordechai Burnstein.

“In my meetings and conversations with newly elected Councilman Chris Pollak, one of his concerns was access to public records such as the landlord database,” said Council President Burnstein.

Burnstein then worked with the mayor’s office and township officials to see how it could be done quickly and
