WASHINGTON, D.C. (WOWT) - Congressman Don Bacon introduced a bipartisan healthcare bill on Friday alongside three of his fellow representatives.

The bill, called the Bipartisan Healthcare Optimization, Protection, and Extension Act — or HOPE Act — is sponsored by Bacon and Reps. Thomas Suozzi (D-N.Y.), Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.), and Jeff Hurd (R-Colo.).

“A Republican-only bill is not gonna work. A Democrat-only bill is not gonna work. We gotta work together on this,” Bacon said in a video alongside his fellow congressman on the Capitol steps.
