There is another Wilkins wearing the No. 21 jersey for Georgia basketball .

Jake Wilkins followed his father, Dominique Wilkins, in playing for the Bulldogs.

Jake is a freshman this season who already is making eye-opening, high-flying dunks, just like Dominique did for the Bulldogs back in the day before an NBA career that led him to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

“He’s really talented,” coach Mike White said after Jake Wilkins scored 12 points in his collegiate debut on Nov. 3. “His maturity, his composure, his attention to detail, his basketball IQ, his coachability, not only from us as a staff but also from his teammates is something I’ve commented on a bunch. It’s atypical as a freshman.”
