WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A Waco woman was arrested Thursday after authorities say she threatened to shoot a judge during a truancy hearing in South Waco.
Daisy Hernandez, 19, remained jailed under $5,000 bond Friday after her arrest on a state jail felony charge of terroristic threat against a public servant.
According to arrest records, Hernandez and several of her family members were in Precinct 5 Justice of the Peace Court, 1800 Richter Ave., Thursday afternoon when Judge LucyAnn Sanchez-Miramontez asked Hernandez’s mother why her children were not going to school.
While Hernandez’s mother was speaking, Hernandez’s 15-year-old brother “caught the attention of the judge by smiling visibly and silently laughing,” an arrest affidavit states. The judge paused the truancy hearing and told
