WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A 29-year-old Lacy Lakeview man who thought he was meeting a 15-year-old girl for a sexual encounter was placed on seven years’ deferred probation Friday.
Visiting Judge Roy Sparkman approved Esteban Meza Aguilar’s plea agreement with the McLennan County District Attorney’s Office after Aguilar pleaded guilty in 19 th State District Court to online solicitation of a minor, a third-degree felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Aguilar was arrested in February after he sent a Facebook message to a detective posing as an underage girl.
“Hey, mami. Would U be interested in meeting,” Aguilar wrote the girl, according to an arrest affidavit.
