CLOVIS, N.M. (KFDA) - The Clovis Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man wounded.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, Clovis Police Department Dispatch received a 911 call about a person with a gunshot wound.

The caller said their male cousin had been shot in the neck by someone driving by their home.

Police and Emergency Medical Services were called to the home on Hickory Street.

Officers arrived to find a 23-year-old man with a wound to his neck. He was taken to Plains Regional Medical Center and later transported to a Lubbock hospital.

At the home, officers found a pistol against a fence in the yard. Neighbors stated they did not hear any gunfire.
