TEXAS, USA — Attorney and former Galveston Mayor Joe Jaworski is running again for Texas Attorney General.

And during the first debate with the only other announced Democratic candidate – State Senator Nathan Johnson, D-District 16 – Jaworski quickly went on the attack. It's a different approach than he took four years ago.

“I have grown as a candidate, and each race is different. Senator Nathan Johnson is a different opponent than Rochelle Garza. Nathan, I punched hard because his record is punch-worthy. And in the Democratic primary, that’s the tone I wanted to set early on, and it’s going to continue,” Jaworski told us on Inside Texas Politics .

In 2022, Jaworski lost the Democratic nomination in a runoff to civil rights attorney Rochelle Garza.
