The Montgomery Police Department has opened a homicide investigation hours after a teen died in a triple shooting.

On Nov. 21, around midnight, MPD responded to a call about a shooting in the 4600 block of Mobile Highway said Lt. Ernestina McGriff, spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Department.

Officers made contact with 19-year-old Montgomery resident Kashabe Perkins, Jr. on the scene, McGriff said. Perkins succumbed to his fatal gunshot wound after being transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police also found a juvenile male and an adult female with gunshot wounds authorities described as not life-threatening.
