SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – One local nonprofit is acting as a Christmas helper by hosting a Letters to Santa program.

Heart of Scottsville is stepping in to bridge the place where wishes are heard and answered.

The nonprofit says some of the letters from children in the Scottsville community included a child asking for a bed to sleep in, while another wanted to make sure his brothers and sisters got everything on their lists.

Heart of Scottsville says it wants to help ensure these children get their answers back in the form of gifts and a memory they won’t forget.

The program runs from Nov. 29 at 8 a.m. to Dec. 12 at 8 p.m.

For children’s letters to get an answer, their Christmas wishes should be submitted to the large red mailbox downtown by Scottsville’s Christmas tree.
