DES MOINES, Iowa —
Jolly Holiday Lights, the popular central Iowa Christmas lights display and fundraiser, is back for another season at the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
The drive-through holiday display has been a local tradition for nearly 30 years, with previous locations at Water Works Park in Des Moines, Adventureland and the Outlets of Des Moines in Altoona. It moved to the State Fairgrounds last year and returns this year, with opening night starting at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21.
The show features more than 3 million lights and several unique displays, which normally takes about 30-45 minutes to drive through.
Tickets cost $25 per vehicle or a season pass for unlimited visits costs $65. For each ticket sold, organizers donate $1 to Make-A-Wish Iowa, plus they donate 20% of all spons
