SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WSMV) - A new fire station officially opened in Spring Hill, with the fire chief saying response times are expected to dramatically decrease. When every second matters in an emergency, this could be live saving.
The Mitchell Earwood Memorial Station adds 10 new firefighters and a new apparatus. It’s expected to decrease response times by at least 25%.
Rich Brozda, who has lived around the corner for almost 20 years, said he is thrilled about his new neighbors.
“Being on this side of town, we’ve historically not had a great response time from the fire department,” Brozda said. “It’s not their fault, it’s just the geography of the city.”
