NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Every week, weather permitting, a group of veterans meets at Percy Priest Lake. They might no longer serve in the military, but during these hours they say they are on their own mission of sorts.
From prepping the boat and getting it in the water to finding their rhythm, the veterans say they all have to be in sync.
“You start and see it all the way through to the finish, and it just kind of alludes to what you did in the military,” said Bill Thurmond, a veteran.
The group started through the Nashville Rowing Club and gives veterans of all abilities the opportunity to learn how to row.
