BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Lane Kiffin coaching drama escalated Friday as Ole Miss Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics Keith Carter announced that a formal update on Kiffin’s future is now expected next Saturday, the day after the Egg Bowl.

Carter released a statement saying he and Kiffin have held “many pointed and positive conversations” about the coach’s future at Ole Miss, including meetings with Chancellor Glenn Boyce. Carter urged fans to stay focused on next Saturday’s rivalry game.
