ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. — A couple from Brant is now facing charges of animal cruelty and neglect, after the SPCA says it has helped remove hundreds of animals from a farm on Brant North Collins Road.

According to officials, agents have seized more than 200 animals over the past 3 days, including dogs, ducks, chickens, sheep, cats, and goats.
Lindsay Wood, the Chief Investigation Officer for the SPCA of Erie County, tells 2 On Your Side, "Our veterinary staff, who are farm staff, who's on team on scene, believe a lot of these goats may be suffering from pneumonia and severe respiratory disease. A lot of them have severe farrier issues, where their hooves are twisted and overgrown. They're unable to walk properly."
