BUFFALO, N.Y. — The SPCA Serving Erie County reported that demand for its Pet Food Pantry had nearly tripled as more families struggled to care for their pets.
The pantry, part of the SPCA’s expanded efforts to help pets remain in their loving homes, once provided approximately 20,000 dog and cat meals per month. Recently, the need surpassed 60,000 meals monthly—and continued to grow.

To help meet that demand, the SPCA hosted a pop-up “Pack the Pet Food Pantry” event on Friday. It was sponsored by Lumsden McCormick CPA.
