Six Augusta high school football teams advanced to the second round of the GHSA Football State Championships. Now, they’ll have their chance to punch a ticket to the Elite Eight.

10-seed Westside (10-1) heads on the road to face 7-seed Stephenson (10-1). 17-seed Harlem (9-2) will travel to face 1-seed Jefferson (10-1). 6-seed Thomson (8-3) will host 11-seed Callaway (8-3).

10-seed Burke County (9-2) will head on the road to take on 7-seed Columbia (5-6). 18-seed Laney (8-3) goes on the road to take on 2-seed Rockmart (10-1). 12-seed Aquinas (7-4) is headed on the road to face 5-seed Whitefield Academy (10-2).

In South Carolina, 4-seed North Augusta faces 1-seed South Florence in the third round of the SCHSL Class 4A playoffs.
